The UN weather agency predicts that a powerful El Niño system will strengthen in the coming months, which is expected to cause global temperatures to rise.
 

The global weather agency has warned that the effects of El Niño could be felt in various regions of the world through 2027. 

More than 3,700 deaths were recorded in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands due to extreme heat during the last two heatwaves in Europe. 

In France, 2,025 deaths were recorded, with 1,200 in Belgium and 480 in the Netherlands, while officials say the death toll remains high. In addition, hundreds of people in Spain lost their lives during an intense heatwave.
