Aftershocks continue after Venezuela earthquake, death toll reaches 235

Aftershocks continue after two major earthquakes in Venezuela, with more than a dozen earthquakes so far, while the death toll from the earthquake has reached 235.

According to British media, two strong earthquakes were recorded in Venezuela, one after the other, with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5, causing serious damage to infrastructure. 

Media reports said that 235 people were confirmed dead as a result of the earthquake, while more than 1,500 people were injured and hundreds of people were buried under the rubble. 

Meanwhile, several buildings in the capital Caracas collapsed, forcing victims to spend the night on the streets. 

The strong earthquake also hit Caracas airport, causing the suspension of flights. Venezuela's acting president also visited coastal areas affected by the earthquake.

According to media reports, aftershocks continue to shake Venezuela after two major earthquakes. More than a dozen earthquakes have occurred so far, while another earthquake with a magnitude of 5 is expected next week. 

For its part, the United States has sent search and rescue teams to Venezuela. The spiritual leader of Christians, Pope Leo, announced an emergency aid of 100,000 euros for earthquake victims.
