Gas prices in India have risen sharply due to tensions in the Middle East.

According to a report by the British magazine The Economist, Gas prices in India are rising sharply and restaurants across India are currently closed due to Gas shortage.

The British newspaper reported that fertilizer factories and other businesses dependent on gas have ceased operations. 

In addition, Indian citizens in many cities are forced to wait in long queues for gas cylinders.
