Washington: US President Trump has said that if he thinks any city in the United States is not safe for the World Cup, he will move the matches to another city.
According to foreign media, during a conversation at the White House on September 25, when reporters asked President Trump about the safety of World Cup soccer matches, the US president responded that if he thought any city in the US was not safe for World Cup soccer matches, he would move the matches to another city.
When reporters asked specifically about the US cities of San Francisco and Seattle, Trump said: "We'll make sure they're safe, but if we think any city is even remotely unsafe for the World Cup, we won't allow the game there and we'll move it to another city."
It should be noted that the FIFA World Cup will be played in 2026, while the United States, Canada and Mexico will jointly host the FIFA World Cup.
According to the 2026 FIFA World Cup schedule, 6 matches will be played in the American cities of San Francisco and Seattle, which are part of the states in which the Democratic Party, which is Trump's opponent, is in power.
