The celebration of a basketball game victory in America turned chaotic, with the World Cup bus catching fire and a young man being shot.

According to the British news agency Reuters, the incident took place in Manhattan on Saturday night when the New York Knicks defeated their opponent in an NBA game and their fans took to the streets to celebrate.

During this time, some people continued to celebrate by chanting slogans and setting off fireworks.

However, the situation began to deteriorate and chaos erupted, with a bus carrying World Cup fans being set on fire and reportedly also being set on fire. Similarly, a young man was also injured by a bullet.

The New York Knicks won this championship for the first time since 1973 and reached the finals for the third time. Previously, they managed to reach the finals in 1994 and 1999, but were defeated once by the San Antonio Spurs and the second time by the Houston Rockets.

However, on Saturday night, the team defeated the San Antonio Spurs and won the title.

According to reports, the celebrations continued late into the night, during which hundreds of people surrounded the convoy of buses near Times Square that operate as a bus service to bring and pick up World Cup supporters.

About 15 buses were overrun by the crowd, carrying soccer fans and people for the Morocco-Brazil match.

According to reports, some people climbed onto the roofs of the buses, while others climbed up and took over the driver's seat, forcing the driver to get out. Meanwhile, a similar yellow bus that had been rented was set on fire.

A journalist at the scene said he saw the bus engulfed in flames with his own eyes.

It was initially unclear whether anyone other than the young man who was shot was injured in the incident, but the crowd also damaged three other transport buses.

A man was also seen in the crowd with blood streaming down his face, according to the news agency, but it was not immediately clear how he was injured.

Youssef Sabir, a 49-year-old Moroccan-Canadian man who was present at the scene, said he was also on a bus that was surrounded. He said people were celebrating, but in a somewhat violent manner.
