US Senator Lindsey Graham has warned that a deal with Iran could pose a major security challenge for Israel.

Lindsey Graham wrote in a statement on social media that if any deal to end the conflict with Iran is made on the basis that the Strait of Hormuz cannot be protected from Iranian threats and Iran has the ability to seriously damage oil installations, then Iran will be seen as a dominant power in the region.

Lindsey Graham also said that Iran's control of the Strait of Hormuz and its ability to target Gulf countries is dangerous.

He said that a deal that would allow Iran to retain or gain control of the Strait of Hormuz in the future could lead to continued pressure and increased Iranian influence in the region.
