India: A 19-year-old girl was subjected to horrific violence by her boyfriend in Gurugram.
According to Indian media reports, the girl was admitted to hospital in a critical condition and the police recorded her initial statement.
The woman stated that she was living with Shivam, 19, in an informal relationship and that they had a dispute over the marriage.
According to her statement, the accused tortured her for three days and then set her on fire after applying disinfectant on various parts of her body.
The police reported that Shivam has been arrested, a case has been registered against him and the investigation is ongoing.
