Pakistan managed to score 182 runs in their 20 overs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday, losing six wickets in the process.
Captain Salman Ali Agha remained unbeaten on 53 runs. Other contributors to Pakistan's score were Sahibzada Farhan on 21, Muhammad Nawaz on 21, Fakhar Zaman on 20, Muhammad Haris on 15, Faheem Ashraf on 14, Saim Ayub on 14, and Hassan Nawaz, who scored nine runs before being out.
For Afghanistan, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Azmatullah Omarzai, Muhammad Nabi, and Rashid Khan each took one wicket, while Farid Ahmed managed to take two wickets.
It is important to note that the third team in the tri-series, the United Arab Emirates, will play their first match against Pakistan on Saturday.
