West Indies' Shai Hope becomes first cricketer in the world to score a century against 13 international teams

West Indies cricket team captain Shai Hope has created new history in international cricket. 

On Wednesday, the West Indies and host country New Zealand competed in the second match of the three-match ODI series in Napier.

Where West Indies captain Shai Hope scored a brilliant century with an unbeaten innings of 109. 

With this century, Shai Hope became the first batsman in the world to score centuries against all 11 other Test-playing nations and 13 different teams in total in international cricket. 

Shai Hope has scored international centuries against all 11 full-fledged teams and also against the Netherlands and Nepal. 

This makes him the only player in the history of cricket to score centuries against 13 different teams. 

In this list, he surpasses Chris Gayle and Mahela Jayawardene of Sri Lanka, who have scored international centuries against 12 different teams.

Overall, it was Shai Hope's 19th ODI century, equalling West Indies legend Brian Lara's record of 19 centuries. While Chris Gayle is the highest ODI century hitter for the West Indies with 25 centuries.

It should be noted that the West Indies, who batted first against New Zealand, scored 247 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. 

New Zealand, the home team, easily achieved the target for the loss of 5 wickets and took a 0-2 lead in the 3-match series.
