Although artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots are used for many purposes, they are said to be avoided for diagnosing diseases.
However, a woman claimed that thanks to ChatGPT, she was able to diagnose her mother's illness, which doctors were unable to identify for a year and a half.
A Twitter user, Shreya, said in a post that she turned to ChatGPT after a year and a half of unsuccessful treatment and doctors failing to diagnose the disease.
ChatGPT helped identify the possible cause of the woman's mother's mysterious illness.
The woman said that despite all kinds of medical treatments, including homeopathy, allopathy and others, her mother's condition deteriorated over time.
The post further said: “My mother suffered from a persistent cough for a year and a half. We took her to several doctors, visited major hospitals, tried homeopathy, allopathy and other treatments, but there was no benefit, on the contrary, her condition worsened as bleeding started inside the body.”
According to the post: “The doctors said that if it continued for another 6 months, her life could be in danger.”
The concerned woman approached ChatGPT and explained her mother's symptoms in detail.
The AI chatbot suggested several possible causes, one of which the woman considered to be a side effect of blood pressure medication.
When the woman confirmed that her mother was taking blood pressure medication, ChatGPT asked about a specific ingredient in the medication.
The woman confirmed that the medicine contained this ingredient and a doctor then changed the medicine for the woman's mother.
According to Sharia, her mother is now recovering. It is no exaggeration to say that Chet GPT saved her life.
