The message was intended for France, Germany and Britain, which are involved in ongoing negotiations over Iran's nuclear program.

Tehran: Iran has said it is ready to limit its nuclear program and reduce uranium enrichment if international sanctions are lifted.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi wrote in an article in the British newspaper The Guardian that Iran is ready for a realistic and sustainable agreement, under which it could accept monitoring of its nuclear program, provided that international sanctions are lifted in return.

He warned that if this opportunity is missed, the region and the world could face serious consequences.

The message was addressed to France, Germany and the United Kingdom, which are involved in ongoing talks on Iran's nuclear program.

These countries recently gave Iran a month to negotiate a solution through the "snapback" mechanism.

Araqchi added that progress had been made in talks with UN inspectors regarding access to Iran's destroyed nuclear facilities, which was a key European condition.

It should be noted that a nuclear deal was reached with Iran in 2015 during the Barack Obama administration, but US President Donald Trump terminated the agreement during his previous presidency and reimposed strict sanctions on Iran.
