According to the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the attack specifically targeted their flagship.

A boat carrying aid to besieged Palestinians in Gaza has reportedly been attacked by a drone, causing the boat to burst into flames.

The incident occurred off the coast of North Africa, where the Portuguese aid boat was targeted.

The aid flotilla was carrying 350 human rights activists and volunteers from around the world, including renowned environmental activist Greta Thunberg.

According to the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the attack was specifically on their lead ship, which was carrying members of the steering committee.

Fortunately, the crew and all passengers were safe.

The organization also released a video of the damage to the ship after the drone attack and reiterated its commitment to continue its peaceful struggle to provide assistance to the Palestinian people.

It should be recalled that the flotilla departed from the port of Barcelona, Spain, on August 31 with relief supplies for Gaza.

This is described as the third and largest attempt to deliver aid by sea to date.

Earlier in July, Israeli forces attacked and seized the aid ship Hanzala, which was en route from Italy to Gaza.

According to the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the latest incident occurred when the aid ship was about 70 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza.
