New York official Zohran Mamdani revealed that pop star Taylor Swift spent more than $160,000 on security costs and permit fees for her wedding.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce celebrated their lavish wedding on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York; the Empire State Building was specially illuminated for the occasion, which was attended by more than 1,000 guests and major Hollywood stars.
According to a report in the *New York Post*, Zohran Mamdani stated at a press conference that Taylor Swift paid more than $160,000 to cover permit fees and security costs for her wedding celebrations at Madison Square Garden.
Reports indicate that this payment covered expenses related to the deployment of a large police contingent, permits, and other municipal services required for the high-profile event.
Mamdani revealed that the permit was approved just a few days before the wedding, on the condition that the pop star personally cover the costs for additional police time.
According to estimates in various US media reports, the celebration cost approximately $15 million—including venue arrangements, decorations, and other expenses—although no confirmation regarding this has been provided by Taylor Swift or her husband.
