Iran has warned foreign powers against any form of military activity in the Strait of Hormuz. 

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated that the Strait of Hormuz is not an arena for military posturing by powers from outside the region; as a guarantor of the Strait's security, Iran warns against any military maneuvers in the waterway. 

He added that the security of the Strait of Hormuz is the responsibility of the littoral states, and that those who create a crisis will be held solely responsible for the consequences of their reckless actions.
