Iran says a management system will be developed with Oman for the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqaie said a management system will be developed with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz and if necessary, the two countries will also consult with other countries in the region.
According to Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency, Esmail Baqaie said Iran and Oman will develop a joint management mechanism for managing the Strait of Hormuz and will continue to cooperate and consult with countries in the region as needed.
He said that it was also decided that maritime traffic would return to normal within a certain period of time, regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
According to him, this process is Iran's own responsibility and will be carried out only by Iran, and there will be no need for intervention or involvement of any external party.
In addition, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said that the presidents of the two countries can sign the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, and the proposal for the presidents of the two countries to sign the memorandum of understanding is still being considered.
