Iran has confirmed that the US has deported 55 Iranian citizens after they were arrested.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry explained that the 55 Iranian citizens deported by the US will arrive in Iran in the coming days.

Iranian officials say this is the second deportation of Iranian citizens under President Trump's crackdown on immigration.

In September, the United States identified about 400 Iranians for deportation, after 120 Iranian citizens deported from the United States arrived in Tehran via Doha.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqai also criticized the United States for not issuing visas to the Iranian soccer team delegation for the 2026 World Cup draw.
