People in Afghanistan are suffering from a severe humanitarian crisis due to poverty, hunger and misery.

According to Afghan media reports, many families are experiencing difficulties with the onset of winter in Afghanistan, with children living in inadequate clothing during the winter.

A report by Afghanistan's Amo TV says widespread poverty in Afghanistan is further exacerbating the suffering of its citizens, a situation that reflects Afghanistan's broader humanitarian crisis.

The report says that according to the United Nations, 20 million Afghan citizens will need humanitarian assistance this year due to severe deprivation.

The Afghan people say we are hungry, thirsty, our children don't even have shoes or warm jackets to wear, and we can't protect our children from the freezing cold.
