Another clean win at home, India moves below Pakistan in the World Test Championship standings

Guwahati: After a clean win at home, the Indian cricket team has moved below Pakistan in the World Test Championship standings. 

South Africa defeated India by a huge margin of 408 runs in the Guwahati Test on Wednesday to end a scoreless series 0-2. 

India challenged a challenging 549 in the second innings but were bowled out for just 140 runs.

Thus, South Africa won the Test series on Indian soil after 25 years. 

India faced a clean sweep at home for the second time under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. Earlier, New Zealand also crushed India's pride in 2024.

After a clean sweep against South Africa, the Indian cricket team has moved below Pakistan in the World Test Championship points table. 

Looking at the World Test Championship points table, Australia is first, South Africa is second and Sri Lanka is third.

Pakistan is fourth in the World Test Championship points table, while India is fifth.

After India's continued losing streak, coach Gautam Gambhir and the team are being heavily criticized by Indian fans.
