Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has decided to immediately update the software of its A320 aircraft, which could affect 6,000 aircraft worldwide.
Airbus says the latest incident with the plane shows that solar radiation can damage data and affect control.
According to the news agency, the plane lost control and suddenly crashed during a flight from Mexico to New Jersey on October 30, during which several passengers were injured.
Several airlines, including American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Air New Zealand and Turkish Airlines, have issued flight disruption warnings following the company's decision to update its software.
The Australian airline said in a statement that some of its flights were unable to take off due to the software update. Saudi Airlines also said that some flights were being delayed due to software and technical maintenance.
Meanwhile, the British Civil Aviation Authority also expressed concern that the decision to update the aircraft's software could affect flight schedules.
