A court in Yemen's Houthi-dominated Ansar Allah organization has sentenced 17 people to death.
A court in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, has sentenced several people to death in "espionage cases" who were allegedly part of a secret network that worked for Saudi Arabia, Britain and the United States.
According to a state media report, the perpetrators were accused of collaborating with intelligence officials from anti-Houthi countries and providing them with sensitive information between 2024 and 2025.
The court ruling says the defendants provided information to opposing countries about government officials and their movements, as well as secret details about the Houthi rebels' missile systems.
The verdict states that the accused also provided the opposition with details about the locations of several sensitive installations, which led to attacks on military, security and civilian areas, in which several people were killed.
The court ordered the death penalty for all the culprits by firing squad.
