It is considered one of Nepal's darkest days. It remains a mystery to this day what caused this tragedy.
It was June 1, 2001.
Nepal's favorite King Birendra was present at a dinner with the Queen.
His eldest son, Prince Deendra, and other children were also present.
You will call the king to any ordinary Nepalese.
He will call him with love and joy. He believed that he had never seen a better leader.
The prince drank heavily during dinner. And they will take him to a room.
After a while, bullets were fired in the main room. Until morning, no one believed such terrible news.
The king was dead. Queen Aishwarya was also blown up. The princes and princesses also died.
An older son, Prince Dipendra, who was drunk. He was found, but he too had bullet wounds.
The prince fell into a coma. And three days later he too passed away.
The whole of Nepal was shocked. People would arrive in Kathmandu crying and in anguish.
Given this royal massacre, three theories emerge. The third is more authentic and to some extent official.
1): Foreign interference Many people say that the CIA and India had a hand in this.
Because the king did not want India or America to interfere in his internal affairs.
2): The hand of the king's brother Everyone was present on the night of the assassination.
But the king's brother, Guy Andra, was absent with his family. And this dinner was mandatory every two weeks. Was it planned by my brother?
3): Love ended in tears Prince Da Pendra wanted to marry Devan. But Queen Aishwarya was categorically against it.
The other Devan also belongs to a noble family.
But the meeting of the two great families could also weaken them politically. This is why the prince, when he drank too much, killed 9 people, including his parents.
Do you think the prince killed them all himself?
Or was there another theory?
