Tehran: Iran has expressed concern over recent tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan and offered to mediate to resolve the issue.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqai said in a statement that he was concerned about the recent tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan and that it was important to respect the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of each country.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said that Pakistan and Afghanistan should hold immediate talks to reduce tensions and that Iran was ready to help reduce tensions between its neighbors.
In front of Iran, Saudi Arabia and Qatar also expressed concern about the tensions and clashes between Pakistan and Afghan countries and called for restraint and efforts to resolve the issue through dialogue.
It should be noted that Afghanistan carried out unprovoked firing on the border between Pakistan and Afghan countries last night, to which the Pakistani army responded forcefully and several Afghan soldiers were killed in the strong retaliation of Pakistani forces. Or they had to flee their posts to save their lives.
