The world's richest person, Elon Musk, is on the verge of going from billionaire to trillionaire for the first time in world history.

The magazine reported that 54-year-old Elon Musk's total wealth reached $500 billion on Wednesday, but quickly fell to $499.1.
He is followed by Oracle CEO Larry Ellison, whose total wealth is $350.7 billion.
According to the Forbes report, he is followed by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, with a total fortune of $245.8 billion.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Elon Musk enrolled at Stanford University, where he was rejected.
He first became a millionaire in 1999 when he sold a publishing software company to US computer maker Compaq.
