London: British police have confirmed that 890 people were arrested during a large pro-Palestinian protest yesterday.

The protest escalated as demonstrators demanded the lifting of the ban on the Palestine Action organization.

According to police, 857 people were arrested for supporting the organization, while another 33 protesters were detained on various charges, including 17 people accused of assaulting police officers.

Police issued a warning before the demonstration that anyone supporting the group would be immediately arrested.

It should be noted that in July, some members of Palestine Action forcibly entered a Royal Air Force base and damaged aircraft in protest against Britain's provision of military aid to Israel, after which the government banned the organization under anti-terrorism laws.
